We are pleased to announce that we have just been awarded Section 5 status by the Home Office.

New for 2010 - We will be offering, early in the New Year, an RFD Target-Hunter barrel for those who wish to shoot competitively and also use the same rifle for vermin control. The RFD Target-Hunter barrel will be available in various weights and lengths and will be screwcut 1/2" UNF to suit the most popular moderators.

More congratulations to Gwyn Roberts for his success at the recent Phoenix meeting at Bisley. Gwyn scored 1918 in the Bianchi which is a new UK and Phoenix record ! Rude Fat Dog works closely with Gwyn to finely tune his competition match guns which with his superb shooting ability help to maximise his shooting potential. In this picture Gwyn can be seen using his matched tuned stainless steel Marlin .44 - notice the customised Mover Base and Barricade Wings which have been developed specifically for the Bianchi competition.

Congratulations to Gwyn Roberts for winning the Western Winner last weekend in Bristol. Gwyn used his Rude Fat Dog 10/22 style custom gun for the .22 stage of the competition.

As you are all probably aware the GB£/US$ exchange rate is making all purchases from the US very expensive. We are painfully aware that the cost of the superlative KID trigger group is now beyond the reach of some shooters, who like us, must 'tighten belts' where possible. To this end I am seriously looking into offering a service for those who require their standard Ruger trigger assemblies to be made into something more 'user friendly'. After working on a number of standard Ruger triggers over the last few months I will be able to 're-work' your 'standard' triggers to give a trigger pull weight of between 2.5 - 3lbs. Anyone who is interested in this service, please contact me.

We have just completed a custom Rude Fat Dog .22 SLR for Gwyn Roberts, multiple UK record holder, Welsh and UK squad shooter - have a look in the Build Gallery on the 10/22 section !

We have just received an email from Fausto C, whose custom Rude Fat Dog SLR is shown in the Gallery section, 'The looks and specification are exactly what I was looking for. I took the gun straight to the range where I fitted a scope and then tested the gun with fantastic results . . . . . this gun is the creme de la creme'.

We regret that due to the ever worsening exchange rate between GB£/US$ we are now having to raise the price of our Lee Reloading equipment.

Our prototype Long Barrelled Pistol, that we have named 'Xerxes', should be finished within the next two weeks. We have developed our own 305mm barrel for this pistol which is based around a Lothar Walther barrel liner.

We have more custom builds underway this week so new pictures will be in the Build Gallery section shortly.

Tactical Solutions - We are now in the position to be able to offer any of the UK legal parts that are available from Tacsol including X Ring receivers - these are not currently available in our custom guns as they have not yet passed our strict compatibility quality control standards. We can also supply the AR-22 M4, LT and MC uppers if you really twist my arm.

I deeply regret that due to the appalling exchange rate all of the products that we purchase from the USA will be increasing in price as from today 11th September 2008. I will get the relevant web pages updated as soon as possible.

More custom RFD SLR's added to the Gallery Section

RFD 10/22 Magazine Pouches have been added to the 10/22 page.

The US State Department is being a real pain again with them about to impose a US$250.00 or 3%, whichever is greater, fee for all export applications whether successful or not ! - prices will have to increase very shortly. To add to these problems all bona fide US exporters will need to be registered with their State department before they can export. We have export applications with some US suppliers that have been in their system since May and are now 'on hold' until all their suppliers comply with the new legislation. This will hold up supplies of some products even more.

We will shortly be finalising the building plans for our new Distribution Centre which will include a machine shop and showroom facility - we expect the project to be completed by April 2009.
